Tommy Faragher started his music career in California writing songs at the age of 2.  As Tommy stood waiting for his mother, with his hands gripping the wood railing of his crib Faragher sang:

“Twinkle, twinkle little star.
Mommy, mommy where you are?”

Before long, Faragher and family formed the group The Faragher Brothers. With determination, hard work and talent the brothers landed the opportunity to record four albums, two on ABC Records and two on Polydor Records, as well as appearing on “American Bandstand” and “Soul Train.”

After a good run, the brothers went their separate musical ways and all of the family members stayed connected to music.

Tommy Faragher landed his first solo assignment as a staff writer for 20th Century Fox Music.

His musical skills led him to sing background vocals and play keyboards for such artists as: Ringo Starr, Dusty Springfield, Kiss, The Pointer Sisters, Patty Austin, Sparks, etc.  Also during this period, working with such producers as: Richard Perry, Glen Ballard, Jay Graydon, Vini Poncia, Alex Sadkin, Dennis Herring and many others too numerous to mention.

Tommy’s solo ventures paved the way to successfully writing and recording two songs as an artist on the “Staying Alive” soundtrack which sold 5 million copies and earned Faragher a Grammy Nomination.

Faragher worked with Diane Warren, singing and producing Warren’s demos.  His demo production of “Rhythm Of The Night” sparked the excitement to cut the track that instantly shot to the top of the charts.

For Motown Records, Tommy began producing master recordings for artists such as Prince’s Vanity and Chico DeBarge

Faragher produced the entire Vanity album, “Skin on Skin,” which featured the Faragher written top ten single “Under The Influence.”

Tommy’s successful career continued with his signing to MCA Music Publishing where he collaborated with Robbie Nevil in London, playing keyboards and singing backgrounds on “Cest La Vie” which went to #2 on the chart.  Working in England with producers Alex Sadkin and Phil Thornally led to scores of future recordings and hits.

Tommy soon moved from California to New York City and wrote and produced for artists such as Brenda K Starr, The Jets, Al Green, and the O’Jays and the list goes on….

Faragher’s work led to top ten hits such as:

Taylor Dayne, “With Every Beat Of My Heart” (top 5) which also earned Tommy the songwriter’s ASCAP Pop Award for most radio airplay.

Paul Young, “What Becomes of The Broken Hearted” which Tommy produced and went to No. 1 featured on the “Fried Green Tomatoes” Soundtrack.

“The Right Kind Of Love” from the “90210 Soundtrack” also scored top ten status for Faragher as writer and producer.

Through his publishing deal with “Warner Chappell UK,” Tommy traveled the globe and received international notoriety for his work with artists: Angelique Kidjo, Hinda Hicks, Papa Dee, Andreas Carlson, Shola Ama and for his writing and production with the group Eternal. Faragher wrote and produced 4 songs on Eternals debut album “Always And Forever,” which sold 2 million copies and featured the song written and produced by Faragher “Oh Baby, I…” which spiked to #4 in the UK and #1 in Europe.

Faragher was soon sought after in Australia to work as Executive Music Producer for the hit reality TV show “Pop Stars” which later spawned the phenomena “American Idol.” The Faragher produced “Pop Stars” album “Bardot,” went to #1 and his self-penned/produced song “I Should Have Never Let You Go” gave Tommy another huge hit.  As executive music producer, Tommy was filmed and featured weekly on Australian network television as he worked closely with the “Pop Stars” TV show winners to develop their full vocal range and individual styles. Faragher provided his services in the selection of material for the vocalists, as well as mixing the entire album and the #1 single “Poison.” He also supervised and booked the album mastering session in the U.S.

Tommy’s last publishing deal with “Sony ATV Music” led to the signing of his act X3 to “Sony Records Australia.”

Faragher is in the process of developing and recording new artists, writing and producing for labels as well as providing vocal expertise and direction in his new Slope Studios in Brooklyn.
